Canada - A former member of the Edmonton police department has been sentenced to just under two years of house arrest for submitting $225,000 worth of false claims for overtime and court time.
Over three years, Riccardo Zenari submitted 101 payment claims for court time, and 71 of them were found to be false. Zenari pocketed $23,585 in fraudulent pay. In the same time period, he submitted 240 overtime claims, only three of which were warranted. The former constable collected $201,501 for those false claims.
