Australia - An outlawed motorcycle gang member charged with intimidating a woman providing information about a cold case murder has been banned from visiting the village of Mumbil.
The 49-year-old Stuart Town man was arrested on January 30 by a police strike force team reinvestigating the 1996 murder of Charles Avouris.
The man (whose name is being withheld to assist police investigations) was kept in custody before he was brought before a special bail court in Dubbo on January 31.
Bail was allowed with strict conditions and the man was ordered to appear in Dubbo Local Court on January 11. The man must report to the officer in charge of Orange police station each Wednesday. He is required to live at a specific address at Stuart Town and cannot enter the town of Mumbil (unless travelling straight through the village to attend court at Dubbo).
