. - COLD SPRING - Authorities say five people are recovering in the hospital following a bloody brawl that apparently broke out between two rival biker gangs.
Police say the fight broke out last night at 2741 South Route 9, where a motorcycle club had rented out space. Alleged rival club members entered the premises around 8:30 p.m. and a fight broke out.
Officials say pools of blood could be seen inside and outside of the store, and several windows were shattered. Blunt objects like ax handles were apparently used in the melee, police say.
There is no word yet on the extent of the injuries sustained by those taken to the hospital. Police say no arrests have been made.
Neighbors were surprised to hear about the incident that happened in their normally quiet area.
