Connecticut - LITCHFIELD-One of the former members of the Forbidden Motorcycle Club in the Burrville section of Torrington took the stand Wednesday, testifying in the Kevin Campbell murder trial.

Eugene Thebarge, 44, was the Sergeant-in-Arms of the then-five member club in June 2008, when he said he saw Mr. Campbell point the gun at Ronald Legasse and pull the trigger, killing Mr. Legasse.

"What the [expletive deleted] did you do? What did you do?" Thebarge told the court. "Kevin [Campbell] said, 'I [expletive deleted] killed him.'"

"I looked up at Kevin and said, 'How could you take him away from his kids?" Mr. Thebarge added. "And his eyes finally opened like he was shocked and finally realized what he did."

Mr. Thebarge is the first witness to have testified that he saw the gun fired, and that Mr. Campbell had indeed been the one who pulled the trigger. The state prosecutor was the only side to question Mr. Thebarge during the morning session Wednesday, in a trial that was to continue through the week and beyond.
