Had a special request from a long time BNN member and highly respectible 1%er. Some time on or around November 30, 2007, a girl names Carla Anne Beard was murdered in Anna Marie Island, FL.
Carla Ann Beard was found at the end of 50th St. in Holmes Beach just a few blocks north of the Manatee County Public Beach. It had been there for a few days. A $5000 reward has been offered by the Gold Star Club for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible. Contact here

What's your question?	WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM?
Details:	GOT BIKE BACK FROM SHOP HAD COSMETIC MAKEOVER CAUSE OF ACCIDENT.HAD PUT ABOUT 500 MILE ON IT SPUN ADJUSTER NUT OFF OF CLUTCH ON WAY HOME. FIX ON RODE AND THEN TOOK BACK TO SHOP CAUSE IT MAKES A "WUMP WUMP" SOUND THEY GO THREW PRIMARY SEE NO DAMAGE PUT BACK TOGETHER. STILL MAKES STRANGE SOUND. DIDN'T HAVE SOUND BEFORE NUT CAME OFF. THEY THINK IT IS CAM BEARINGS OR COUNTER BALANCER BEARINGS. CALLED ANOTHER SHOP THEY THINK IT'S MAINSHAFT BEARINGS THINK I'M GETTING FUCKED BY THE SHOP I FIRST TOOK IT TO. ANBODY GOT ANY INPUT ON THIS? NOISE COMES FROM PRIMARY AND CAM BEARINGS AND SHOES LOOK FINE. DON'T WANT TO SPLIT CASES IF I DON'T HAVE TO.

I have seen stock cam bearings go on the 2000 softail.The bearings wear and the aluminum oblongs the cam plate.Depending on ya mileage if ya ride it alot you have probably already changed yta cam shoes.They usualy go around 30,000 miles or so.Also are ya running a open primary?Dont know what bolt or nut ya talking about.If the tranny nut backed out then you might have realy screwed up the key way and now your clutch basket might be cocked.just a guess with what ya gave for info.More info equalls better response. How many miles,any aftermarket engine work,tire upgrades,tranny upgrades,etc.Are ya running a primary chain or belt primary.wet or dry clutches? By: dirtyundies on: 5-12-2008
