Make of Bike: hd
Model of Bike fxe
Year of Bike 77
Engine Size 1350
Other info on Bike
What's your question? Where should the crankcase breather be positioned on a 77 fxe? Some say as low as possible, like on the bottom of the frame. Others say up high at least at above the crankcase if not at seat height. thanks in advance.

Answers:

  1. Vent it down, so that the edge of it just hangs below the frame. If you vent it up any oil collected in it will just blow all over your motorcycle when you start it. Especially if you leave it sit for a long time and the oil from the oil bag seeps through the checkvalve in the oil pump into the cases.
