- I have hand wired enough bikes to suggest you buy a harness. Chopper wiring is a thing of the past with all the different conectors you need for todays bikes. But if you are hard headed like me. Big red wire to starter from pos on battery. Get one of the pushbutton starter switches that fit on back of starter. do that. Now bike will turn over. Fom Pos on Battery run hot wire to ignition switch. from ignition switch in run position run wire to 30 amp breaker. From breaker run headlight, tail light, and hot wire to brain. From brain run 2 wires to coil. you have igniion. another breaker and run signals and horn.
From regulator run wire to to positive side of battery. Two wires from stator to regulator. This is a seven wire systom with an extra wire thrown in at the coil for single fire coils.
