| What's your question? |
xmsn extremely hard to shift. running Primo Brute III Enclosed Belt drive. Dry clutch set up.
|
| Details: |
noticed slippage while riding 2 up on freeway. performed disk first aid, replaced diaphragm spring (didnt meet inspection criteria) and thrust washer(high milage). Upon reassembly, shifting is extermely hard. it will shift fairly normal if I add a rev of the throttle when shifting. all clutch plates are in good condition. no visible damage to any other parts. I will be very grateful for any help on this. Dont have a clue where to go from here. |
Answers:
- You didn't have this prob. befor maint.? double check plate seperation, check for wear on metal, did clutch discs become hard or warped from heating while slipping?? check on a piece of glass, while sliding thin paper By: wingman on: 11-14-2009
- it's possible a couple plates are stickin, if still bad, replace all discs met. & fiber. let us know how ya make out.
