88 to 95. S&S 510c cam, hydraulic chain tensioners and Twin Tec ignition module. First time rebuild for me.

| What's your question? |
Two men offering help and guidance, one problem. One says take it directly to a dyno. The other says tweak it by ear, ride it a while and tweak it as needed. Want it right but dyno in this area is $300.

Answers:
- Another option may be to buy a fuel/air mixture gauge, for about a little more than a single dyno run, and do it that way... This depends on your pipe set-up, but most newer pipes have the port for the O2 sensor... This way you have it for any future pipe/carb changes, instead of paying for another dyno...

- Thanks for the replies, much appreciated. Put the settings on the Twin Tec to their suggestions the paperwork that came with it. Tweaked the carb a little and rode it around a parking lot for a bit (didn't have my cold weather gear with me). Seems to be running fine. Taking it for a ride this afternoon, how long will depend on how she's runnin, but so far so good. Again thanks for the input. By: madmidget on: 2-17-2010
- As a follow up, I was able to talk the guy who redid the heads and bored the jugs into cutting me a bit of a break. Paid him for the dyno but much less than the original proposal. Anyway after tweaking the carb a bit and adjusting the ignition module I'm now running at 87+ hp and 100+ ft/lbs of torque (hope I said that right). Not a gearhead but will say it's running better than any bike I've ever owned. Again, thanks for the input. Back on the road and lovin life. By: madmidget on: 2-25-2010
