front brake will not release the brake light switch, is there a fix for this or do I gotta spring for a complete front master cylinder?

as I'm gong down the road the brake lite is continually on, thats not good. |
Answers:
- I had the same problem with a 1996 evo. There's a a rubber stop with plastic in the middle of the front brake lever switch and it wears down. I fixed mine by putting a real small screw right in the middle of the plastic piece, it extended it long enough to hit the switch and knock out the brake light so it only came on when I pulled the lever. - Quick fix-on the bottom of the lever, remove the snap ring, slide the bushing out, invert and re-insert. This will last enough to get home. Had this problem after hanging a whip for long-term. By: Swabbie on: 4-27-2010
