Answers:

  1. I have a tool, that looks like a "flycutter". It works like a valve seat cutter (it uses a pilot in the guide), but it bores the seat out. It's old, and I don't remember who made it. Sorry, I can't give you more info on the tool, but that is what you are looking for. It works something like this: http://www.newen.com/Pages/Vids/kawasaki16vscb.html By: Guest on: 12-25-2010

  2. it sounds like a valve tool. but I really need to see a picture to be honest By: ringo on: 12-26-2010

  4. I think you mean guides. the seats are hardened to last with the unleaded fuel. Bronze guides are used as sleeves to guide the valve up and down around the valve stem. Those are usually driven out after heating the head and quickly cooling the bronze guide, then driving it out with the appropriate sized drift. Freeze an old valve and slide her in the guide to cool it. By: FLHS1200 on: 12-26-2010

  5. FLHS1200 ,,,Nope,,eary seats where bronze,"not sure of the years this one is 57pan,," The video posted is very good info,, I was not sure if there was some other way other than cuttin' them out. I have to do some welding before taking them to someone with a valve seat machine,,trying to save some time and money. Thanks for the info, and the video. By: stroker on: 12-26-2010

  6. ringo,,,I saw the tool that guest is talkin' about,,it is a portable valve-seat cutter,,not sure of who makes. I'll try and find out. By: stroker on: 12-26-2010

  7. well a seat cutting is different then a press tool. I dont fuck with them,, I would take into the local guy who knows the tricks, I would assemble, adjust. dial in after,, but a man who is a engine specialist is better to do the job,,, By: ringo on: 12-26-2010
