Answers:

  1. Up to about 86 inches I'd use an E...it's a 40mm carburetor. Past that, I would use a G...that's about 44mm. If the G is too expensive you can rejet the E. I'll post how to do that if you'd like. By: 47Knuckle-Dragger on: 6-6-2011

  3. Depends abit on your cam and exhaust, as well as the head job. If you have a lot of duration and overlap, and opened up ports, I'd go with the bigger G to get the most out of the top end. If the build is more mild and streetable, I'd re-jet the E as it will give you better "crisp" response and more fun on the street in most cases. Bigger isn't always better when it comes to carbs. 4. I run an E on a 95" twincam, 570 cams, 10:1 comp, mild head/port wortk, and it's a raped ape up to 5500. falls off hard above, but I don't care, how often you really want to spin beyond 5500 anyway? By: Guest on: 6-15-2011

  5. I run the "E",to about a 100ci(jetted accordingly),then go to the "G"(if you're not sure ask a trust worthy old wrench).People in general, tend to put in a tall cam and big carb, wrong. It all has to work together. On my 74,the jets are .72 & 29.5(high hp),just work with it!You do not want to over whelm the motor,or drown it in fuel.
