  1. I had a similar issue and found a nick in a wire that was grounding out. Moving the wire removed the ground and everything worked. I'd check the insulation on all loose wires inside fairing. By: Guest on: 9-20-2011

  2. Remove the fairing outer, and check the wires the run near the fairing supports. I have seen the insulation worn off by the supports. Take your time and check any wire that runs near under or around those supports. Then try to wire tie the wires so the won't rub on the supports. Pay attention to the orange wires with the white stripe. By: Guest on: 9-20-2011

  3. Wiring can be a bitch... But there are no short cuts. Just trace each wire along it's length, take your time, and find any bare spots. Also check all connectors to make sure no wires are bridging pins, and that no crud is in there fouling things up, and no bent pins or anything like that. Plan on the better part of a full day. I usually pick up a 12-pack before even thinking of starting something like this... By: Guest on: 9-21-2011

  4. if all else fails, pull you right side switch housing and check the wiring inside and connections to the switches themselves By: PiecesCSMC on: 9-21-2011

  5. Also check the pins inside the plugs where the wiring harness plug together. Make sure one has not slid back inside the housing too far to make contact. By: bobp on: 9-23-2011

  6. As everyone has said. Check all your wires. With so many things affected it sounds like a bad ground. By: sprgld1 on: 9-25-2011

  7. Many Thanks problem solved only took a six pack but found a broken hot wore about four inches down main harness. Wow big money saver. Again Thanks By: bowzram on: 10-3-2011
