What's your question? Is the 95 cu. in. big bore kit with cams worth it if you would like more low end torque?

  1. yup and don't forget the air cleaner. If air can't get in, power can't get out. you will also need a new ignition module, are you carbed or FI, if FI you might want to see about a new FI program since more Air means leaner running conditions, not a big deal if you watch your plugs, if they turn white/grey your too lean, black you are to rich.   3. Assuming you have good exhaust and air cleaner, a big bore kit, cams (203 is fine) *AND HEADS* are a good upgrade. I am getting 100 lb-ft at 3500 rpm, which is pretty much where you want it. If your builder is telling you you'll be in the "100 HP Club" (dealers love that term), get a look at a torque curve from a previous build first because he may put components together that result in a peak at closer to 4500 rpm, and of course that will get you into 100hp at a reasonable torque. Lots of engines are built out like that but it's not for everybody. By: HD2pct on: 9-18-2006
