Neutral light stays on in all gears
|
| Details: |
It's starting to cool down here in central IL, and last weekend my neutral light started flickering on my ride home from work. By late evening, it was on constant regardless of which gear I was in.
I read up on the other forums, and the best advice I could get was to change the neutral switch. So I spent the $16 and changed the switch, and that did not fix the problem.
Anyone have any advice where to look next? |
Answers:
- unplug the switch on the transmission top near the starter. If the light goes out, the switch is stuck, and needs to be replaced. If the light stays on, it is a wiring problem. By: Guest on: 10-21-2011
- umm your speedo sencer in on you transmission pull it and chech it clean it and if you have a moltameter check for olms is it is bad you will spend so cash By: Guest on: 10-21-2011
- The neutral light comes on by the switch closing and providing a ground for the circuit. If the switch is good, then you likely have a pinched wire in the handlebar circuit. Have you changed the bars or otherwise been in the wires? If so, look there first.
