- AVONS, they are a soft compound tire with a great tred design. Drawback: they dont last worth a shit. Plus: they stick to the road wet or dry and the scrapes on my 97 FXD's pipes and primary cover prove it. By: fxrider97 on: 7-1-2006
- Avon stick no argument here, I am not one to smoke my tires, but I will run my bike lucky to get 4 thousand miles on a rear tire, I guess thats what I get for riding a garbage truck. Dunlop, the tires not my gut, have a decent road tire finaly, getting close to ten thousand on the rear, but and this is a big but, they have a hard center section, and my bike has kicked out more than once when crossing painted stripes, worse than railroad tracks. I thought it was just me so I kept my mouth shut but then my brother did the same thing on normal acceleration from a traffic light. Of course I laughed at his ass, and asked him what he was trying to prove? And thats my two cents By: Mark_Goff on: 7-1-2006
