Brown to discuss attacks on Riverside Co gang team
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) - California's top prosecutor will join the Riverside County district attorney Thursday to discuss the recent booby trap attacks on gang enforcement officers in the county.
Attorney General Jerry Brown and District Attorney Rod Pacheco scheduled an afternoon news conference following the arrests of about 30 members of the Vagos motorcycle gang Wednesday.
The anti-gang task force has been targeted with lethal MacGyver-like devices, including a dangerous device placed next to an officer's car and a gun rigged to shoot when the security at their headquarters opened. In December, someone diverted a gas line into their headquarters in December.
