- Yeah, unplug your regulator, clip a test light on a good gound, and probe the two prongs on the regulator plug. If the light comes on, the diode in the regulator is blown, and your juice is backfeeding to the stator. By: Guest on: 8-6-2009
- I know, sounds stupid, heard all the time. Be sure the batt. cables are in good shape. does it drain over nite or after a ride? also have the batt. load tested. By: Guest on: 8-8-2009
- How old is your battery and do you ride regularly? If your bike sits for more than a week make sure you have a tender on it.If your battery is more than 3 years old replace* By: Guest on: 8-12-2009
