Days numbered on former Outlaws clubhouse

Canada - Large rats, not outlaw bikers, live in what used to be the clubhouse of what was once London's dominant outlaw motorcycle gang.

Soon the vermin may be homeless, too, after city officials took steps Friday that could lead to the demolition by summer's end of what was once the home of the Outlaws biker gang on Egerton Street.

City bylaw officers have posted an order on the building to make it safe, no small task considering it was boarded up after a 2002 police raid.

The foundation is crumbling, the wood rotting, the roof dilapidated and the walls punctured by what neighbours say have been large rats that have chewed into the home.

With the edge of the building nearly abutting public sidewalks, passerbys are at risk from falling debris, said Orest Katolyk, the city's bylaw enforcement manager.

Government is responsible
Posted by JypsyShift on 6/28/2009 10:07 PM

Of course the ones who control the building are responsible,at least thats how it should work. Any healthy society should'nt have it's government seizeing it's citizens belongings, the country then becomes a dictatorship, police state. Anyone out there who thinks club houses are'nt bugged all ready might want to give their heads a shake, they can now bug land line phones, cell phones and cell cameras, gps is in your cell phone, computers,on star in cars, cameras are in the streets, helicopters can watch also planes, haveing your house bugged is small potatoes now a days. So don't think for one minute, they may bug some one ,we are long beyond maybe, get with the times Thats the one thing you can count on, is you are being watched.

I have read what some members say about having the big brother sneak listening devices into walls, well I can agree with that, but if we, bikers with club houses never make the clowns involved pay, if they dont pay then it looks like a win for them, one club house down, and they are off the hook. nothing writes better in the news paper then the cops had to up some cash and pay for repairs, and bring the building back up to code, then civilins have a better look at what has gone on...

"According to a notice on the building, it’s now owned by the Ontario government, which moved to seize it years ago as proceeds of crime, petitioning the courts under Ontario’s Civil Remedies Act."

"But the building’s registry title lists its owner as a numbered Ontario company."

"No matter who owns or controls it now, if no one makes the building safe by July 17, the city will seek a demolition permit, a process that would lead to the leveling of the building likely sometime in August"

This property was seized and boarded after a raid in 2002! It's fucked that the "red tape" in the law allowed it to turn to shit without any one being able to maintain it until released or sold!!

The government SHOULD be responsible to pay cost involved!! IMAO
