Germany - Up to a hundred police officers were called to a pub in Duisburg on Saturday evening to separate several hundred bikers from rival gangs from each other.
The police said around 50 Hell's Angels armed with sticks stormed the bar The Fat Mexican, used by rival biker gang the Bandidos, in the red light district of the town.
The bar was smashed to pieces during the mass fight that ensued and several people were injured before the police managed to get everyone outside and separate the two gangs.
The Associated Press reports that several hours later a hand grenade was thrown through the window of the Hell's Angels' clubhouse in Solingen, where around 20 people were at the time.
The grenade did not explode and once the police were called, it was detonated in a controlled explosion.
A police spokesman said he could 'not rule out' the possibility of the Bandidos being behind the grenade attack.
Fears of an outbreak of violence between the two biker gangs were sparked in October when a 32-year-old man was shot dead outside the Fat Mexican – which is on the ground floor of the Bandidos' club building. The dead man was a Bandido, while the suspected killer is a man with connections to the Hell's Angels.
