NEW BRUNSWICK - A former Woodbridge Township police officer was sentenced last week to a total of 12 years in prison for sexually assaulting a boy in the 1990s when the boy was a teenager, and for taking inappropriate photos of a teenage girl between the fall of 2004 and May 2005 in Colonia.
Douglas Karlson, 50, who was an 18-year veteran of the Woodbridge Township Police Department, must serve six years before becoming eligibl
