Belle Vernon, PA & Glen Dale, WV - Released sex offender held in Pennsylvania
GLEN DALE - Convicted sex offender Stephen Bowers, who had been freed by judicial release, is back in police custody after being located in Pennsylvania.
On Monday, Marshall County Prosecutor Jeff Cramer signed a request to have Bowers' name and description entered into a national computer database, the National Crime Information Center. Within hours, Bowers had been located and was arrested by Pennsylvania State Police in Belle Vernon, Pa., Cramer said.
Cramer did not have any details of the actual arrest on Monday.
Bowers was convicted in 2003 of three counts of sexual abuse by a custodian, one count of first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of third-degree sexual abuse. The former Ohio County sheriff's deputy h....
