Kennedale, TX - Jeremiah Brown, a city police officer, was quietly arrested inside his own police station Monday night.
A spokesman at the Tarrant County Jail confirms that Brown was charged with injury to a child before posting bond.
The allegation is regarding a stepchild, said Bob Hart, Kennedale's City Manager.
Child Protective Services notifed the city a week ago of its criminal investiagtion into Brown, Hart added. At that time, the city put Brown on suspension with pay.
After Brown was arrested, his status was changed to suspension without pay, Hart said.
