LaFollette, TN - A LaFollette Police officer has been arrested in Clinton for aggravated assault.
Officer Justin Lowe, 33, is accused of pistol-whipping another man at a card game in Clinton, then pointing a gun in his face.
Clinton Police said another player apparently tried to grab some money off the table after Lowe won a round, and an altercation occurred.
The other man involved, Chris White, said Lowe had pistol-whipped him. White had lacerations on the back of his neck, his left ear lobe, and the left side of his neck. There's no word at this point whether Lowe is alleged to have used his service weapon or a personally owned gun.
Sgt. Brian Haas's report from that day indicates Officer Lowe admitted to having punched Chris White, but not to having hit him with a gun.....
