Tennessee - ~Chattanooga: Officer resigns over connection to biker gang~
A Chattanooga police officer has resigned after it was revealed that he was associating with members of the local Outlaw Motorcycle gang.
Derrick Pendergrass had been placed on administrative leave awaiting the outcome of an internal investigation of allegations that he knew and associated with the gang members, many of whom are believed to be known felons.
He resigned Tuesday.
It is a violation of police department policy to associate with known felons, according Chattanooga police public information officer Rebecca Royval.
The investigation into Mr. Pendergrass' actions stemmed from the recent federal crackdown of the local Outlaws Motorcycle gang.
