The murder of El Monte educator Bobby Salcedo in December should have served as warning enough about Mexico and the terrorists who operate there.
The slayings of three people with ties to the U.S. Consulate in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, this past weekend only further highlight the extreme danger that Americans face south of the border.
In all, authorities estimate there were 50 murders in Mexico this weekend that could be linked to drug cartel violence. Of those, 13 killings occurred in Acapulco - just as revelers began to arrive.
