European Union (EU) - FOUR hundred bikers staged a go-slow on the A1 in protest against a new European law.
The Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) brought the cyclists together yesterday to show their opposition to the EU legislation, which aims to restrict modifications to new machines in the future.
North East MEP Stephen Hughes helped start the event, before the bikers headed from the Park and Ride at Carrville in Durham, on to the A1, and dispersing at Washington Services.
Rachel Leonard, who was one of the organisers, said: "It went really well and I think we really got our point across."
