Had a special request from a long time BNN member and highly respectible 1%er. Some time on or around November 30, 2007, a girl names Carla Anne Beard was murdered in Anna Marie Island, FL.
Carla Ann Beard was found at the end of 50th St. in Holmes Beach just a few blocks north of the Manatee County Public Beach. It had been there for a few days. A $5000 reward has been offered by the Gold Star Club for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible. Contact here

Alabama - A toy run Saturday is the first event for the newly organized Red Knights Motorcycle Club, president Kelley O'Bryant said.

The local chapter of the Red Knights, an international motorcycle club comprised of firefighters, will be raising money and collecting toys for the Toys From Santa program. The Gadsden Fire Department firefighters have raised money and collected toys for several years through the Toys From Santa program.

Members of the Red Knights Motorcyle Club - from left, Jim Rhoden, Kelley O'Bryant, Sabrina Teet, James Teet, Lee Marker, John Williams and Rickey Collie - are shown Wednesday with their motorcycles in front of the Central Fire Station in downtown Gadsden. The club will hold a toy run Saturday to raise money and collect toys for the Toys From Santa program.

The recipients are approved by the Willie Estes Clearinghouse.

The Red Knights Motorcycle Club is comprised of firefighters who have motorcycles and enjoying riding their bikes to raise money for good causes.

Most of the club members are Gadsden firefighters, but there are some who are from other fire departments in Etowah County, O'Bryant said.

The Red Knights Motorcycle Club organized locally to do charity events, he said.

Saturday's event begins at 9 a.m. at Cycle World on West Meighan Boulevard.

Those who participate will be asked to make a cash donation or to donate a new, unwrapped toy, O'Bryant said.
