Harley-Davidson group hopes to break record, help
A Harley-Davidson group based in Orlando, Fla., hopes to break a world record for the most Harleys in a single ride at the Myrtle Beach rally, and raise funds for Toys for Tots at the same time.
The group, called Rally for the Rugrats, hopes to collect needed funds for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation and for the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund, said Chase Michaels, the group's organizer.
The ride itself will take place during the May Harley-Davidson rally, but will not go through Myrtle Beach itself. Instead, organizers hope to follow a route in the Longs area, Michaels said. The exact route, and rally start and end points will be announced later.
The donation to ride is $40 for the driver and a $15 extra-rider fee.
