- I have a small leak forming at my base seal, just above my primary on a 2004 1200 Custom HD , I believe it to be a bad gasket, does this sound correct or could it be another issue I am not seeing? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

If you not warming the bike up to near operating temp before getting on the throttle Sportsters will leak there due to the length of an oil line that empties just below them base and the barrels. If you are warming it up properly then you have a leaky base gasket.
