Canada - A Bandido biker who killed a member of the Hells Angels should receive a 10- to 12-year prison term instead of the minimum sentence being asked for by the defence, the Crown said yesterday.
Francesco "Cisco" Lenti, 62, has pleaded guilty to manslaughter for the shooting of Hells Angels sergeant-at-arms David "White Dread" Buchanan and the aggravated assault of then Hells prospect Carlos Verrelli (now a full member) and full-patch member Dana Carnegie.
Lenti's lawyer, Louie Genova, earlier asked the court to consider a 4- to 5-year sentence with a credit of 41/2 years due to time already served. Because Lenti spent his pre-trial custody in segregation -- there was a hit out on his client -- he deserves the enhanced three for one time served, the lawyer argued.

Others have been in segregation and only received two for one, which is the norm, Crown attorney Peter Westgate said at the sentencing hearing yesterday.
Lenti, who has a long rap sheet for weapons offences during his 35-year gangster career, used a restricted, unlicensed and concealed hand gun, the Crown said.
"Discharging a weapon seven times in a public area, hitting three and killing one, deserves 10 to 12 years," Westgate said, adding the court also needs to consider that Lenti never told police where he hid the gun. "The firearm is still at large and it continues to be a danger."
In addition, the Crown asked the court to collect a DNA sample from Lenti and place a weapons prohibition order on him for life.
