Canada - Ex-Manitoba Hell's Angel William (Billy) Bowden has been denied bail in connection with a 2007 fatal stabbing in a downtown Winnipeg nightclub.
Bowden is charged with manslaughter in the death of Jeff Engen, 24, in November 2007. A former member of the Manitoba Hells Angels, Bowden was arrested in Whistler, B.C., in February 2008.
He appeared in court Tuesday and a judge denied his application for bail.
At the time of the slaying, police said Engen was involved in a confrontation with a group of people inside the Empire Cabaret.
He was stabbed in the basement, then made it upstairs to the dance floor where he collapsed.
A trial date for Bowden and two other men accused in the case could still be more than a year away.
