Spain - ~ Guardia Civil officer fired for stealing credit card from corpse ~ A GUARDIA?CIVIL traffic officer in Galicia has been jailed for two years and fined €2,888 for stealing a credit card from a corpse and going on a spending spree.
The officer admitted he had stolen the card from the body of a driver who died, along with two other people, in a car accident in Galicia in 2002, and had spent some €1,300 on it in 68 different transactions.
