Had a special request from a long time BNN member and highly respectible 1%er. Some time on or around November 30, 2007, a girl names Carla Anne Beard was murdered in Anna Marie Island, FL.
Carla Ann Beard was found at the end of 50th St. in Holmes Beach just a few blocks north of the Manatee County Public Beach. It had been there for a few days. A $5000 reward has been offered by the Gold Star Club for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible. Contact here

UK - Thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts will head to Weston-super-Mare this weekend for the annual Beach Race. The seafront will be brought to life with the thundering sound of quads, sidecars and motocross machines. Races in quad, sidecar and youth categories start the event on Saturday before a new Beach for Life charity race takes place. The main solo race is on Sunday. The event, which takes place on a purpose-built sand track, will see club riders compete against some of the best racers in the world. Professional riders will compete against a 1,000-strong field of amateur competitors in the three-hour endurance race. %3Cbody%3E%3Cdiv%20id%3D%22adDiv%22%3E%3CA%20HREF%3D%22http%3A//ads.anm.co.uk/ADCLICK/CID%3Dfffffffcfffffffcfffffffc/AAMSZ%3D452x118/SITE%3DTHISISBRIS/AREA%3DNEWS/SUBAREA%3D/ARTICLE%3D389249/acc_random%3D8639541969/pageid%3D/RS%3D10246.10235.10187.10245.10177.10191.10217.10229.10244.10257.10287.10289.10297.10307.%22%20target%3D%22_new%22%3E%3CIMG%20SRC%3D%22http%3A//iad.anm.co.uk/anmdefaultad.gif%22%20ALT%3D%22%22%20border%3D0%20style%3D%22margin-bottom%3A%200px%3B%22%3E%3C/A%3E%3C/div%3ERacing stars taking part include ten-time World Motocross Champion Stefan Everts, and recently-crowned MX2 World Champion Tyla Rattray. "I'm really looking forward to riding at Weston because it's so different from a normal motocross race," said Everts. "It's a very good event and it's at the end of the season so we can go out and enjoy ourselves. "It's unusual as there's a massive amount of starters and it's three hours long so lots can happen. "I'm not as fit as I used to be but there's some really good riders competing this year so I'm sure it will be a great race." Also taking to the sand is two-time World Endurance Champion and Grand National Cross Country Champion, David Knight. MX1 Grand Prix racers Marc De Reuver, Tom Church, former World Endurance Champion Paul Edmondson and World Superbike rider Chris Walker will compete in the solo race. RHL Activities, which has organised the race for 26 years, has returned it to its charitable roots with a Beach For Life fun run on Saturday at 3.30pm, in aid of Cancer Research. "This year we've put a big programme of events together to partner the racing, which is sure to be exciting with such a talented field of legendary racers," said Gareth Hockey, director of RHL Activities. "Even if you're not a bike fan, there is nothing like seeing 1,000 racers gunning down the beach all at once from the start – it really is special. "The race is a challenge of endurance and a little bit of luck, as it's so demanding on the bikes and the riders; and we're proud to have some of the industry's very best involved this year. "There will be trade stands for motorcycle enthusiasts as well as something for the family, as we want to make it a great weekend out for everyone, whether they are into bikes or not." Over The Top stunt squad will put on displays away from the racing action. It will do two and four-wheeled acrobatics in shows on both days in an arena near the shore. Camping places are still available from £45, with showers, toilers, 24-hour security, food outlets and a shuttle bus. A day pass is £20 for adults and £5 for children aged four to 12. Some pre-booking weekend passes are still available, at £30 for adults and £7 for children. A family weekend pass is £68. Gates open at 8am on Saturday and 7.30am on Sunday.
