Had a special request from a long time BNN member and highly respectible 1%er. Some time on or around November 30, 2007, a girl names Carla Anne Beard was murdered in Anna Marie Island, FL.
Carla Ann Beard was found at the end of 50th St. in Holmes Beach just a few blocks north of the Manatee County Public Beach. It had been there for a few days. A $5000 reward has been offered by the Gold Star Club for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible.

- Florida - Although he wasn't a 1%er, he's an Outlaw none the less. With great sadness, The Outlaws and Outlaw Biker World must announce the passing of our friend, Hughie Thomasson. Hughie died unexpectedly late Sunday night of an apparent heart attack at his home in Brooksville, Florida.
There is a thread for condolences on the Outlaws forums. Hughie's family wishes to thank everyone who has left a message. They will read every message posted on the condolence thread. (From the Outlaws Site) In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends and fans make a contribution to one of the charities that Hughie supported. I remember late 1977 when he was a member of the Outlaws. They, along with supporting act Point Blank, had a large benefit concert scheduled at Miami's Bi_Centennial Park. It had been only a couple of weeks since the plane crash that wouls forever change the Skynyrd band. Hughie and the boys dedicated Green Grass and High Tides to Skynyrd.
This sucks
