Florida - The magazine is down home, tell it like it is, or as its stated boldly on the cover; "THE WAY IT WAS AND STILL SHOULD BE." Cochise CHOPS is old school from front to back, the people, the articles, and the bikes... There's NOTHING in this magazine that even comes ANYWHERE NEAR the usual YUPPIE/RUB B.S. that's found in MOST ALL the biker magazines, in fact this little gem is quite obviously slanted ANTI YUPPIE/RUB... Its refreshing to again read a rag that's written and produced BY REAL BIKERS, FOR REAL BIKERS... There's no sidestepping or sugar coating in this one man...
Cochise gives a fine account of what he's about, what his magazine is about, and where he wants CHOPS to go...His thoughts on many subjects in CHOPS are EXACTLY the same as mine...(I'm sure many of yours as well)
Thoughts on the Gubment, the cops, self serving two faced people, and of course the way a lot of runs have GONE TO SHIT Due to THE GREED OF MANY ORGANIZERS, BUSINESSES AND VENDERS, feeding on the big time rub dollars that are waiting to be plucked...
Cochise lives in South Daytona, and years of being a "local" during Bike Week have given him an excellent opportunity to evaluate where all the "REAL" stuff is happening, and it shows in each issue… In CHOPS, Cochise and his contributors find these "OTHER" sections and areas of runs and events and write about them, about the people in them, their bikes, hot rods, and their businesses, not the main street fashion show, dollar grab, choking with vendors trying to sell the same old shit you see everywhere...
They write about where the REAL PEOPLE ARE… People that know about BROTHERHOOD, and still strive to surround themselves with others who are like minded... the PEOPLE in my opinion, that are really WORTH KNOWING IN THIS LIFE...
Cochise CHOPS is just beginning, will continue to stay around and grow, and just keeps getting bigger and better... I do not foresee CHOPS ever turning in any direction, other than DOWN HOME, OLD SCHOOL,,, and IN TOUCH WITH REAL BIKERS, REAL BIKER EVENTS, AND THE REAL BIKER LIFESTYLE...
