Denver, Colorado - Good news in Colorado. After working with the PGR and a State Representative, we succeeded in getting a bill pushed through the House Committee to change the law in Colorado, about who can get the unclaimed remains of our Veterans sent to their final resting place. Once the law gets through the floor with both the House and Senate, and the Governor signs it, the hard work begins, going to all for the Funeral Homes here to try and identify which stored remains are of Veterans, and then getting the Funeral home to get them sent to Ft. Logan or any appropriate cemetery. It's been a long time coming, but we're getting close. This is all part of the MIAP, Missing in America Project. We of the VOVMC are very proud to be a part of this very important piece of legislation to get the remains of our forgotten heroes properly interred with all of the ceremony and fanfare that they so much deserve. They laid their lives on the line for the freedoms that we have today, and it's our turn to make sure they get a heroes burial service.
