Bikie arrested over violent abduction
POLICE have arrested a Newton man and are hunting two associates for the alleged violent abduction and extortion of another man over alleged drug debts.
The 32-year-old, who has alleged links to an outlaw motorcycle gang, was arrested by STAR Group officers and SA Police Crime Gang Task Force members as he drove along Currie Street, Adelaide at about 3.30pm yesterday.
Police will allege in court that since 2006 the suspect has blackmailed the victim over money allegedly owed from a past drug debt and has threatened to harm the man's children.
In November 2008 it is alleged the offender and two other males abducted the victim from Waterloo Corner Road, Paralowie.
It is alleged they forcibly took him to a nearby house where they assaulted and threatened the man with more violence... Continue
