United Kingdom - A Hells Angel biker shot dead on a motorway was targeted with two handguns, Birmingham Crown Court heard.
Gerry Tobin, 35, of Mottingham, south-east London, was killed while riding on the M40 in Warwickshire in August 2007.
A forensic scientist said the bullet recovered from Mr Tobin's skull was fired from a revolver.
A cartridge case found near his body was fired from a self-loading pistol. Six men deny murder and firearms charges. A seventh has admitted murder.
Prosecutors have alleged he was killed by members of a rival gang, the Outlaws.
'Overwhelmingly typical'
Phillip Rydeard, a firearms specialist with the Forensic Science Service, told the jury that the bullet which killed Mr Tobin was a 9mm Luger coated with a jacket of nickel-plated steel.
He said it had been fired from a revolver despite being manufactured for use in self-loading pistols.
He said: "In this particular case the rifling marks were overwhelmingly typical of the marks that are caused by revolvers."
The trial has heard Mr Tobin died instantly when he was shot in the head.
Mr Rydeard showed the jury a spent cartridge case found after the shooting at the M40.
He said the 7.65mm cartridge had markings which indicated it had been fired from a self-loading pistol.
Lay-by
The jury was also shown a rear mudguard removed from Mr Tobin's motorbike which had a hole in it slightly larger than 7.5mm.
Mr Rydeard said he believed a bullet had penetrated the metal mudguard and "skirted" through the tread of the bike's rear wheel.
Mr Tobin had been driving back from the annual Bulldog Bash festival in Long Marston, near Stratford-upon-Avon.
It is alleged that his killers selected him as a target after waiting in a lay-by close to a motorway junction near Warwick.
Prosecutors claim he was shot at by two gunmen who tailed him on the A46 and the M40.
Karl Garside, 45, pleaded not guilty to murder during a previous hearing in February, while Simon Turner, 41, Dane Garside, 42, Malcolm Bull, 53, Dean Taylor, 47, and 46-year-old Ian Cameron entered their not guilty pleas last December.
The full addresses of the defendants, who are from Coventry, Nuneaton and Milton Keynes, cannot be published for legal reasons.
Sean Creighton, 44, of Coventry, has admitted murder and firearms offences and will be sentenced later.
The case was adjourned until Monday.
