What's your question? Just got bike up and running, adjusted clutch acording to manual, put about 150 miles on it and the bike was pulling or stalling when I stop,re-adjusted, put about 30 miles had to re-adjust again,put about 5 miles on, and needs adjustment again?????????

  1. Something's wearing, quick! You might want to pull this all apart and check, out the surface wear, and check the throwout bearing. If you bought some cheap knockoff clutch cable...I'd check that first.

  2. This is a dry clutch? Are you getting too much pri chain oil building up in you primary and keeping the plates from releasing smoothly? Crack the outer primary cover open and see how much oil drips out of there. You may have a vacume problem where the oil is building up and not returning to the tank. By: RoaddTrampp on: 5-2-2009


  3. Newer style throw out bearing look like a few bbs between plastic sheets. Try going back to old style throw out bearing and rod. Stay away from cheap clutch plates, Barnett still the best and make sure your pressure plate isn't twisted or warped. Specs in the manual are only a starting point . parts wear over the years so you should adjust till it's right reguardless of specs. By: Guest on: 5-27-2009
