Bikie facing extortion charge
A COMANCHERO bikie and a gang associate have been charged with extorting $3000 from a 20-year-old man.
Police will alleged the bikie spoke to the victim by telephone on March 9 and discussed an insult directed at a member of his family.
The victim denied making the comment but the next day he received a call from another man claiming to be an associate member of the gang who allegedly demanded $3000 to resolve the matter.
It will be alleged the victim was contacted several more times and was threatened with violence if he did not hand over the money.
Despite continuing to deny he had made any insulting comments, the victim was concerned for his safety and agreed to met the bikies in Osborne Park yesterday and pay the money, it will be alleged.
