Canyon lake, CA - This is in response to a letter published in The Friday Flyer (January 27) regarding motorcycles. I think it's a shame the writer compares cancer to motorcycles. If she actually read the article in the January 13 issue, she would understand there are many obstacles to overcome to allow motorcycles in Canyon Lake.

Only residents with motorcycles will be allowed in, motorcycles must be street legal and pass safety and noise inspections, and pay a fee, among other things. Also residents have to go through a process to even get this initiative on the ballot.

To live in this "little bit of paradise," many residents commute over 100 miles a day and motorcycles are great means of transportation, it saves time and money. Why should motorcycle riders be shunned from this community because they choose a different means of transportation from you or me?
