Massachusetts - ~Longrider Motorcycle Club members Jake O'Connor of Granby and William Flood of Springfield convicted of 2011 assault outside Orange bar~~
GREENFIELD - Two men with ties to a Hampden County motorcycle club were found guilty Tuesday in Franklin Superior Court for their part in the assault on two brothers a year ago outside an Orange bar.
A jury found Jake P. O'Connor, 24, of Granby, and William M. Flood, 49, of Springfield, guilty on all counts in connection with the Dec. 29 assault outside a bar on East River Street, according to the office of Northwestern District Attorney David E. Sullivan.
The assault left one man with serious injuries.
O'Connor and Flood, who were each identified as members of the Ludlow charter of the Longriders Motorcycle Club, were each convicted of aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, a shod foot, resulting in serious bodily injury, aggravated assault and battery resulting in serious bodily injury and assault and battery.
Flood also was convicted of two counts of intimidation of a witness.
O'Connor was given a two- to five-year sentence at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction, and upon his release will be on probation for three years.
Flood was sentenced to a 2½-year sentence in the Franklin County House of Correction, to be followed by probation for three years.
As a condition of their probation, each was ordered to avoid drugs and alcohol and to have no affiliation with the Longriders or any other motorcycle club.
