Conti recalling motorcycle tires
FORT MILL, S.C. (Jan. 30, 2013) - Continental Tires the Americas L.L.C. is recalling about 1,700 Conti-brand motorcycle tires, made in South Korea and sold primarily in the U.S. aftermarket in 2011 and 2012.
Conti said the tires- ContiMotion size 180/60R16 M/C 74H-under certain conditions may experience uneven wear, groove cracking and, in some cases, belt lift. That can lead to deflation and a potential loss of control that might cause an accident.
The tires are identified by the DOT serial numbers H60LJJE5110 through H60LJJE3811, indicating they were built by Shin Hung Co. Ltd. of Jinju, South Korea, under contract to parent Continental A.G.
