Wisconsin - ~10 motorcyclists struck last May on U.S. Hwy. 151~

FOND DU LAC - Several civil suits have been filed against a Hilbert man accused of killing two men and injuring eight others last May when he drove into a group of motorcyclists on Highway 151 north of Fond du Lac.

Clinton Lovelace, 26, was ruled competent to stand trial by Fond du Lac County Circuit Court Judge Gary Sharpe. He is next scheduled to appear in court for a motion hearing on Jan. 7.

Lovelace was traveling on U.S. Hwy. 151 in the town of Taycheedah on May 31 when he allegedly crossed the centerline and struck 10 Michigan motorcyclists.

Daniel Winsemius and Douglas Yonkers died and eight others were injured. Eric VanDam of Muskegon, Mich., lost a leg in the accident.
