Hey pardner, S&S is a great carburetor but like all carbs you can over install one. Do you understand the enrichening device in place of a choke? Only if it is below 60 degrees do I ever pull that lever up. I have an '88 Evo with a lot of miles and only use the accelarator pump to start it. Leave it on too long and it will foul a spark plug. Did you buy the E carb set up for your engine? Call S&S tech support and tell them what the problem is. If you have jto wait 30 minutes to start the engine again then I would suspect you are jetted too rich or have problems else where. Fossil
